    Ingrid Bergman – The Beauty With Brain

    Ingrid Bergman, a Swedish lady by birth, was one of the greatest heroines of American Cinema who lived a life of barely 67 years (from 1915 to 1982) and was credited with prestigious awards such as Emmy Awards (twice), Tony Awards for Best Actress and above all Academy Awards thrice. Ingrid Bergman ranks fourth amongst the all time greats in American cinema which is no mean fleet to achieve for the people from celluloid industry.

    She came to the limelight of US cinema in the year 1939 by way of her commendable role in the remake of the movie ”Intermezzo”  in English. Producer David O. Selznick extended his support and patronage to Ingrid through a seven year acting contract that essentially added feathers to her stardom for sure that she once again achieved through her leading role in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the year 1941. This versatile actress later in the year 1950 starred in Italian movie Stromboli, entangled in scandal and got back to the limelight in 1956 through the movie Anastasia.
