    Remember Emil Foley? Well, guys he is the character that got Louis Gossett Jr an award at the Oscars for the Richard Gear Starrer film An Officer and a gentleman. Starting his career as an actor in his late teens, Gossett has since come a long way. He is a Brooklyn boy who is an eminent theater actor as well. He won the Donaldson award in the category of the best newcomer in theater.

    Though, he had a promising career as a basketball player, he decided to sacrifice it for cinema that soon became his true love. He won an Oscar for the role of the hard task master Emil Foley who brought tears in our eyes when we watched the movie. Gossett is the first black actor to have won an Oscar in a supporting role. We will get to see Louis Gossett Jr in the upcoming movie BOILING Point.
