    The full name of Jon Cryer is Jonathan Niven “Jon” Crye, who is an actor, film director, film producer and screenwriter in America. He was born on 16th April 1965 in New York City, New York. He was introduced in the romantic comedy film No Small Affair in the year 1984. He was best known for his performance in the film Pretty in Pink, which was written by John Hughes in the year 1986. The film Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God… Be Back by Five was written and produced by him in the year 1998. In the year 2009 and 2012, Cryer has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for acting in Two and a Half Men as Alan Harper. He belongs to Swedish, Scottish, Dutch, Swiss-German, German and English ancestry. At the age of twelve, he decided to become an actor. He studied about acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, UK.
